I’m looking for a nursing program that would have enrollment open for this fall or next spring? In AZ now, and there is 1-2 year waiting list here. I need a school that offers a BSN as soon as possible.
We will consider moving anywhere, even Alaska.

I’m signing up for a massage therapy program that’s being held at a local community college.
It’s only 100 hours though and apparently, you need at least 500 hours to work as a therapist (depending on which state you live in)?
So what exactly is this program?
What can you do with this certificate?

Holistic Massage Certificate Program

Would you like to learn how to give a professional massage? Are you interested in becoming a massage technician? This “hands-on” program will focus on Swedish massage techniques, musculo-skeletal anatomy, aromatherapy for massage, and proper body mechanics employed in professional massage. Lecture, group discussion, and supervised “hands-on” practice are included in this 100-hour program which can be applied towards satisfying the training requirements for a massage technician license. This program is open to all; and health care personnel may earn CEU hours. (Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #00622 for 70 hours.) Fluency in English is required. Upon successful completion of all requirements, a certificate of completion will be awarded.

I am entering a very intense nursing program while maintaining my household which only includes me but I have no one I can depend on financially…Is it possible for me to maintain fulltime employment while attending nursing school?

I am looking for a way to help others and be happy. I heard about certified nursing assistants. People work at nursing homes and sometimes acquire their certificate there to help boost the amount of CNAs. Do you know of any links for this? I did an online search for nursing homes but they seem to want experienced people working for them. Any advice?

Don’t get me wrong, I love nursing my 16month old. It’s just that sometimes she’s so squirmy, and it feels like she has a thousand arms. One behind my back is pinching a little mole on my lower back, the other one pinches my other nipple, I push it away, and then she grabs my hair and pulls hard. I say no, and she sicks a finger up my nose, or into my mouth, tries to pull my tongue out, then back to my other breast… Then she she starts pulling her head back, as she pushes me away, making it really painful to nurse. Then she raises her feet, and kicks my face while she nurses…. AGGGGGhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s not always like that of course. And it doesn’t always bother me, just when I’m completely exhausted, and have no patience, or sense of humour.

I tried a nursing necklace too, but she stops nursing, and wants to put that, into her mouth. LOL!

I guess I’m not really looking for advice, just sympathy…

What are your experiences?

what do they look for? was arrested at 17 for shoplifting. i know – stupid. but have not been in ANY trouble since. learned my lesson. will this hurt me?
i was fingerprinted then released to my parents. they had me write and apology letter to the store and i never went to court or anything.
