College dating…GIRLS PLEASE HELP? I have no clue about texting girls and the rules on texting this girl?

I’m 23 and Sarah is 22.
Okay so this semester I am taking a bowling class (at my college we have to take a physical education course). This girl named Sarah and I bowl together every class. We’ve gotten to know each other on a personal level minimally, but the second time we had class, she told me I looked familiar. We started talking about our past and we ended up discovering that we were in choir together in elementary school…like…12 years ago, and we also went to the same jr. high school. I thought it was interesting that she brought it up. We started talking more, and it turns out we both played soccer our entire childhood and teenage years. Sarah is in the nursing program right now, and I am applying to dental schools this summer, so we are both interested in health care fields. We also have the same sarcastic sense of humor. During class, she always laughs at the things I say.
BUT…there is a problem: Sarah’s friend is always by her in class, so I never get a chance to ask Sarah out in person.

This past Sunday, I was going into a coffee shop to meet a girl named Katie for a date. Sarah happened to be in there studying (of all people lol) so I talk with her for a couple minutes, and I tell her I’m meeting this girl Katie for a coffee date. I tell Sarah that I better stop flirting with her, so my date won’t see. Sarah smiled and laughed at this. She then tells me it’d be funny if I got stood up (just joking with me)…so I tell her “Well, if this girl doesn’t show up, then you and I can just have a coffee date!” to which Sarah smiled and happily said “ok!” …so this made me think she was interested in going out with me. Katie showed up though lol, so Katie and I left to go eat dinner. As we were leaving, Sarah was watching me the whole time as we made our way to the door, so I waved goodbye to Sarah.

Well, I found Sarah on facebook today and sent her a message. We sent each other a couple messages, and she sent me a friend request (I haven’t accepted it yet). She told me she is going home for Spring Break, and asked me how I was spending mine. I told her my plans, and then asked her “hey whenever you get back into town next week, I would like to take you out for dinner. Do you want to swap phone numbers?”
She replied back “sure, my number is ______” (she gave me her number)

My question is: Does she like me and does she want to have dinner since she knows my implication is to take her on a date? How soon should I text her? (she doesn’t have my number yet) And…should I text her over the spring break a couple of times, so I will be on her mind? I honestly have no clue how to handle this situation because…I want to get to know her and chat with her, but I don’t want to hassle-text her. How many times should I text her?
