Hello! I really would like to know how I can become a children`s nurse through an apprenticeship?Is their a special nursing college i will need to attend or will any college supply you with an apprenticeship?any college links are more than welcome.

For people that don`t know what an apprenticeship is:Apprenticeship is a system of training a new generation of practitioners of a skill and they also work for an expert to learn a trade.

I do not know what you mean by an apprenticeship. Just get a BSN and an RN license. Then, apply for a pediatric nurse position. Nurses can specialize in any area they want to work in. You dont need any extra schooling to become a peds or child health nurse. You may just need a little experience on a regular floor, which is known as Med Surg, first. Hospitals hire new grads for Med Surg and Peds all the time. Just go to college and get a nursing degree and RN or LPN license.
You cant work as an RN while in school because you are still unlicensed, but they have student nursing positions at hospitals you can do called nurse techs and nurse interns. Its where you can get extra training and experience while in school. It helps to take a position like that when you have get your license and look for work.
You cant apprentice as an RN until you have your nursing license. I am about to start my RN orientation soon. I will be an apprentice to another RN for the next 2 months until the hospital feels that I am ready to be on my own.

You must go to college (2 year or 4 year) and complete a strict course of study and skill demonstration in a clinical setting under your instructors license,after obtaining high enough grades in your other initial courses, such as biology, anatomy, chemistry, and pharmacology. After you pass the college courses, you must pass a qualifying test for the state as well as a background check to be allowed to practice in that state. The state will not let you take the test without finishing most of the courses in an accredited school. Period.
Now, did you mean nurse or nanny?
No you can’t do it through apprenticeship.You have to go to college or university if you want to be a nurse.
