I have a crush on a Doctor?

but the thing is i am a struggling nursing student and he’s a resident, young in older 20′s. Somehow I feel initimidated by that i feel like i am not good enough. or interesting enough. Also I am shy and pretty sensitive though i try hard to cover that up with confidence and humor.

He used to come up to my unit and whenever he’d see me he’d light up and say hello and talk to me. today i saw him after not seeing him for 3 weeks and he kinda said hi back but in a dismissing “i’m bussy” kinda way (he probably was).

We then accidentaly ran into each other in the cafeteria and he gave me a dull, blank stare (like he was seeing the most boring girl in the world) and i replied “it’s ok” and walked away. He then came back around me and tried to make some jokes ( i think he knew i picked up on his expression or something), but i ingored him, inside I WAS FURIOUS! and he even asked are you okay? i ignored him after that too, payed for my food, and just left, and he was behind me i could feel him watching me…. i dont know if i did the right thing

this may all seem silly, but help me figure this guy out.
this might be in the wrong category but i need advice
